Whether in launching new funds or in selecting securities for our portfolios, our goal is to bring investors opportunities that are unavailable elsewhere or special in some way. Certain of our funds are structured to provide access to markets, sectors, or asset classes that may otherwise be difficult for individual investors to attain. Similarly, by investing in underfollowed securities we believe we can add significant value to our portfolios over time.

Active Investment Management
We believe in active management and the value added that comes from fundamental analysis and security selection. Our portfolios are positioned with conviction, exhibiting moderate to significant concentration in our core holdings. Our funds exhibit little correlation to market indices, and are relatively free from sector, geographical and capitalization constraints. This enables our managers to capitalize on opportunities wherever they occur. In certain funds, hedging techniques may be employed to manage risk, including the use of derivatives. 

Focused Strategy
While our funds differ in their investment objectives and levels of risk, they share a common philosophy: we believe in investing in those sectors and companies we know best. Our managers conduct their own rigorous investment research and are intimately familiar with the fundamentals of their funds’ core holdings. Each manager has a different skill set and sector specialty which is evident in the funds they manage. While ideas are shared through both daily interaction and formal weekly meetings, each manager is directly accountable for security selection in the funds under their care.
